Where are the Lodges?
How close to the beach are the Lodges?
The Lodges are situated right on the beach – just a few steps from the soft sands and they enjoy uninterrupted views of the Bournemouth bay.
How long can I stay for?
Our prices are fixed to correspond with three- and four-night stays starting on Mondays and Fridays, but you can arrive at any time, day or night. It’s possible to combine two or three stays and stay for seven, ten or eleven nights.
The Lodges are open all year round, except when we close for our annual site maintenance in January.
What time can I check in? What time do I have to check out?
You can arrive at any time, day or night! The Beach Lodges team will be on site for check in on Mondays and Fridays between 3pm and 6:30pm, and between 9am and 5pm on all other days. Each Lodge has a key safe where we can leave your key if you’ll be arriving outside these times.
If your arrival is likely to be delayed, we kindly ask you to contact the Beach Lodges Manager on 07775 030078 to arrange access to your Lodge.
Check-out is between 8am and 10am on the date of departure. Should you need to leave early, please inform a member of the Beach Lodges team.
What is included in the cost of my booking?
The price of your Lodge includes your accommodation, bed linen (except cot linen), bath towels (excluding beach towels), Wi-Fi, and a welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits.
Free unlimited Land Train travel for the duration of your stay is also included, which operates a circular service from the Beach Lodges at Manor Steps, via Boscombe Pier and Boscombe Precinct to Bournemouth Pier and back. The timetable is subject to weather conditions and season. Please note, the Land Train does not run during the last week of August and the first weekend in October due to major events on the seafront. The Land Trains are wheelchair accessible and dog-friendly!
You also have access to the laundry that is equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Washing powder and softener are provided.
How many people can sleep in each Lodge?
Each Lodge, with the exception of the Accessible Lodge, can accommodate a maximum of four adults and two children. The accessible Lodge can accommodate up to four adults and one child.
Each Lodge has a kitchen area, shower room and living space which converts into one double bed and one small single bed on the ground floor. There is also a double bed and a small single bed on the upstairs mezzanine level with storage space.
Where can I park my car?
Free car parking can be found on the road above the Lodges on Boscombe Overcliff Drive (BH5 1JB) and surrounding roads, where spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This allows easy access to the Lodges via the Manor Steps zig-zag footpath. Alternative parking can be found in Boscombe Undercliff Drive Car Park (BH5 1BN), which is located a 15-minute walk from the Lodges along the promenade. A permit for this car park can be obtained from a member of the Beach Lodges team.
How do I use the free Land Train service?
Your Land Train ticket will be in your Lodge when you arrive, but if you need to use it before you check in, just let the guard know you are staying at the Lodges.
