How close to the beach are the Lodges?
The Lodges are situated right on the beach – just a few steps from the soft sands and they enjoy uninterrupted views of the Bournemouth bay.
How long can I stay for?
Our prices are fixed to correspond with three- and four-night stays starting on Mondays and Fridays. It’s possible to combine two or three stays and stay for seven, ten or eleven nights.
The Lodges are open all year round, except when we close for our annual site maintenance in January.
What time can I check in? What time do I have to check out?

Check out: Before 10am
If your arrival is likely to be delayed, we kindly ask you to contact the Beach Lodges Team on the mobile number provided on your pre-arrival email. If your arrival is after 6pm, each Lodge has a key safe where we can leave your key if you’ll be arriving outside of our office hours.
Should you need to leave early, please inform a member of the Beach Lodges team.
How many people can sleep in each Lodge?
Each Lodge, with the exception of the Accessible Lodge, can accommodate a maximum of four adults and two children. The accessible Lodge can accommodate up to four adults and one child.
Each Lodge has a kitchen area (no oven), bathroom and living space which converts into one double bed and one small single bed on the ground floor. There is also a double bed and a small single bed on the upstairs mezzanine level with storage space.
Do the Lodges have heating?
Yes, the Lodges have two towel radiators, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom which can be switched on and off manually. We also have electric radiators and extra blankets if you do get a bit chilly which can be requested at reception.
Where can I park my car?
Due to the nature of our location The Bournemouth Beach Lodges do not have allocated car parking spaces. Throughout the year free parking is available, however spaces cannot be guaranteed for both parking options below. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Free car parking can be found on the road above the Lodges on Boscombe Overcliff Drive (BH5 1JB) and surrounding roads, where spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. This allows easy access to the Lodges via the Manor Steps zig-zag footpath. Alternative parking can be found in Boscombe Undercliff Drive Car Park (BH5 1BN), which is located a 15-minute walk from the Lodges along the promenade. A permit for this car park can be obtained from a member of the Beach Lodges team. Please note this excludes Bournemouth Air Festival.
Can I request a specific lodge?
We do our upmost to accommodate requests, however specific lodge allocation can never be guaranteed.
What is included in the cost of my booking?
The price of your Lodge includes your accommodation, bed linen, bath towels (excluding beach towels) and a welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits.
Unlimited complimentary Land Train travel for the duration of your stay is also included. The timetable is subject to weather conditions and season and the land train is operated by the Bournemouth Beach Lodges. The Land Trains are wheelchair accessible and dog-friendly! Please note, the Land Train does not run during major events on the seafront such as Bournemouth Air Festival.
How do I use the free Land Train service?
Guests can present their lodge key to the driver to use the Land Train service between Easter and October. The Land Train service operates a service from Boscombe Pier to Bournemouth Pier and back. Please note, the Land Train does not run during major events on the seafront such as Bournemouth Air Festival. The land train is not operated by the Bournemouth Beach Lodges.
How do I check-in?
On arrival at the Lodges, please make your way to the Beach Lodges Office (located between Lodges 15 and 16). You will be welcomed by a member of the Beach Lodges Team who will provide you with your keys and show you to your Lodge. Please have your booking confirmation and the surname of the lead guest to hand.
Do you provide bedding?
The mezzanine beds will be made up for when you arrive. Bedding will be provided for the number of guests staying. Should you require any additional linen or bedding during your stay, please speak to a member of the Beach Lodges Team.
I am in a wheelchair, do you offer an accessible Lodge?
Yes, we have one Accessible Lodge that can accommodate up to four adults and one child. For further details, take a look at the Accessible Lodge Information here.
Can I bring my dog with me?
Two well-behaved dogs are welcome in our dog-friendly Lodges. All we ask is that your dogs are kept on a lead around the site and is not left unattended in your Lodge. A £40 dog surcharge per stay will be payable at the time of booking.

Can I arrive on any other day other than Monday or Friday?
Bookings always start on a Monday or Friday. If, however, you are unable to arrive on the first day of your booking just let us know in advance on 01202 126127 and we’ll arrange a time to hand over your key.
The Beach Lodges team will be on site for check in on Mondays and Fridays between 3pm and 6:00pm, and between 9am and 5pm on all other days.
How can I book two Lodges next to each other?
During the booking process you will be asked if you have any special requests. Please give full details at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Alternatively, please call one of our friendly team members on 01202 126127 to make a note on your booking.
Can I have a group of all male / female guests?
We are a family holiday Lodge site in a peaceful beach location and would expect guest behaviour to be suitable for the family environment. Therefore, we cannot accept bookings for Hen and Stag parties.
Can we bring our own bikes with us?
Please feel free to bring your bikes with you. We have cycle rails on the terrace in front of the lodges and we kindly ask that you bring cycle locks with you.
Please note there are cycling restrictions on the promenade from 1st July to 31st August. During this time no cycling is permitted between 10am and 6pm.
Can I smoke in my Lodge?
Smoking (including the use of e-cigarettes) is not permitted in the Lodges or on the deck. There are designated smoking areas with ash trays on the terrace below the lodges.
When can i use the electric hot plate BBQs?
Four electric hot plate BBQs are available on site and are free for guests to use all year round from 10am to 9pm, on a first come, first served basis. BBQ tools and a cleaning set can be collected from the Beach Lodges reception between 9am to 5pm. We kindly ask that you leave the area clean for the next group.
How small are the small single beds?
The dimensions are 70cm x 190cm.
Is there any vehicle access to the Lodges?
Vehicle access is limited due to the location of our site and can only be gained for a short period during the following times:
*Please note: Vehicle access along the promenade is gained through a barrier at Boscombe Pier.
*Gate times are subject to change without notice. Gate access times are not operated by the Bournemouth Beach Lodges.
Guests are reminded that vehicles can be driven down on Monday and Friday only during the times specified above.
