Statement
Bournemouth Beach Lodges believes in providing equal access for all who wish to stay within our Lodges, and we are committed to creating a positive experience for everyone. The Access for All Policy not only applies to people who have a disability, but to any who may require additional adaptations and / or services. Bournemouth Beach Lodges may not be able to fulfil every need requested; however, Bournemouth Beach Lodges aims to make reasonable adjustments to ensure everyone’s stay is as enjoyable as possible.
Introduction
The Access for All Policy advises guests of the management measures and adaptations in place for the Bournemouth Beach Lodges and allows access to all throughout the Bournemouth Beach Lodges experience.

Arrivals
On arrival to the Lodges, please park in the allocated bay assigned to you for your stay. You will then make your way to the Beach Lodges Reception where you will be welcomed by a member of the Bournemouth Beach Lodges Team who will assist you with the Check-In process.
Ramped access is provided for wheelchair users to the Accessible Lodge and Bournemouth Beach Lodges Reception.
Parking
Parking for Undercliff Drive Car Park (BH5 1BN) will require a parking permit which can be obtained from the Beach Lodges Reception. There are Disabled Parking Bays available on a first come first serve basis, a parking permit will still be required.
Our complimentary Land Train service will be available to transport you to the Boscombe Pier just 800m from the Beach Lodges. For any further assistance please contact the Bournemouth Beach Lodges Team directly.
Accommodation
Bournemouth Beach Lodges offer an Accessible Lodge which can accommodate up to 4 adults and 1 child. There is access for a guest using a wheelchair throughout the ground floor.
Bathroom – The accommodation includes a level access shower and standard toilet. There are grab rails in situ including a drop down rail for additional support. A shower seat, should this be required for the duration of the stay can be found in the cupboard of the bathroom.
Kitchen – There is a standard (non-adapted) kitchenette with electric hob, fridge and microwave. There are floor based cupboards to provide accessible storage.
Living Area – Within the ground floor living space a person can remain in a wheelchair and also make use of the decking area with a wheelchair accessible ramp. The entrance to the Lodge has a slight lip of 25mm and we recommend the bi-folding doors to be opened fully to allow full turning space for wheelchair accessibility, as there is limited manoeuvring space when going in and out of the accommodation. The width of the doors internally and externally are DDA Building Regulations compliant.
Dogs
Assisted Dogs will be able to stay at the Bournemouth Beach Lodges at no charge, however the Bournemouth Beach Lodges Team will need to be made aware of this at the time of booking. For online bookings a dog friendly lodge should be requested as a Required Feature and full details to be added to the Special Requirements section. Alternatively, please advise the Bournemouth Beach Lodges Team when booking by phone.
Optional Extras
Bournemouth Beach Lodges offer additional extras to ensure accessibility needs are provided where possible.
No mobility scooters or wheelchairs are available to hire at the Lodges, however, please speak with the Bournemouth Beach Lodges Team who will be able to advise of where it is possible to hire this equipment for the duration of your stay.
A beach wheelchair is available for hire at the Boscombe Beach Office upon request. Please note, this will be on a first come first served basis as we have 1x adult beach wheelchair and 1x child beach wheelchair.
Highchairs and cots can be requested on arrival or via the online booking in The Little Extras section.
Departures
On departure, please ensure you take all your belongings with you and return any loaned Bournemouth Beach Lodges items to the Beach Lodges Reception. Please Check-Out with a member of the Bournemouth Beach Lodges Team and return the Lodge key. If you require any help with returning to your vehicle, please ask a member of the Bournemouth Beach Lodges Team who will endeavour to help where possible.
