Guest Safety

We have opened a limited number of Beach Lodges and have a number of procedures in place to ensure our guests and staff are kept safe.

 

  • Contact free check-in and check-out. We’re changing our check-in process to keep you and our team safe.
  • Your Beach Lodge will be deep cleaned, and then thoroughly sterilised at least 72 hours before your arrival.
  • We’re here if you need us! Team members will be on site, but social distancing. Contact them on 01202 451502 and they’ll be right with you.
  • Hand sanitiser and social distancing reminders around site.
  • Please DO NOT travel to the Beach Lodges if you or anyone in your group have any of the key symptoms of Covid-19.

 

 

How are the Beach Lodges keeping their teams and guests safe?

We’re operating a limited number of lodges to give everyone the space they need to enjoy their holiday. No more than one household or support bubble may stay in one lodge, we have distanced multiple lodge bookings to help you follow Government guidance. We regret that additional visitors are not permitted on site until further notice.

Your lodge will be deep cleaned, and fully sanitised before being left empty for 72 hours before you arrive.

There will be regular cleaning of ‘touch points’ on site, e.g. gate latches and bins, and we are suspending the use of communal facilities, including the laundry and on-site BBQs until it is safe to make them available again.

The Beach Lodges team will:

  • maintain social distance at all times
  • wash their hands as frequently as possible
  • be temperature checked at the start of their working day
  • declare daily that they are free of illness and able to work
  • wear appropriate PPE for their role and responsibilities

 

What should I do if I develop COVID-19 symptoms before my stay?

If you or a member of your party develops symptoms prior to your stay, you must follow the latest NHS guidance and not travel under any circumstances.  Please contact our team to reschedule or cancel your stay.  Should you decide to cancel, you will be entitled to a full refund.

 

What should I do if I develop COVID-19 symptoms during or after my stay?

If you or anyone in your lodge develops symptoms while staying with us, please contact the Beach Lodges team so we can provide assistance.  If you or a member of your party develops acute breathing difficulties, please call 999.

Similarly, if you or a member of your party develops symptoms within 14 days of your stay, and a test confirms infection, please let us know immediately.

 

How can I observe social distancing while staying at the Beach Lodges?

Use your own discretion and follow the government’s current social distancing guidance.

Please follow the advice of any social distancing signage.

We also recommend putting your dog on a lead, keeping close to the people you’re staying with and washing your hands thoroughly when you get back to your lodge.  Guests are reminded that dogs must be on the lead at all times on the promenade, paths and zig zags.

Keep government guidance in mind while you explore our beautiful surroundings and remember, if it’s too busy anywhere, you can always come back to the lodges where you can keep your distance and relax in peace.

 

Do I need to wear a mask and gloves?

We recommend checking the latest government guidance to help you make your own decision with confidence.

 

How have the Beach Lodges cleaning processes been adapted?

We’ve never compromised on hygiene and cleanliness, but we have introduced enhanced cleaning procedures to ensure we are keeping our guests and staff safe.

After your Beach Lodge has been deep-cleaned it will be fully sanitised using Virabact , an effective anti-bacterial, all-purpose, food-safe cleaner.

Your lodge will be locked after this process and left empty for 72 hours until you arrive – you will be the first to enter your lodge after this time! Your key will be left in the key safe (also fully sterilised) to allow you to check in ‘contact-free’.

 

We are a group from multiple households, can we still come?

No more than one household or support bubble may stay in one lodge, and we have distanced multiple lodge bookings to help you follow Government guidance – you will be in neighbouring lodges but will not share a staircase.

If you have more than one household or support bubble staying in one lodge, under the current Government guidance, we cannot accept your booking.  Please notify us immediately to discuss your options.  If we find that you have multiple households staying your lodge, your stay will be terminated without refund.

We regret that additional visitors are not permitted on site until further notice.

 

What essential equipment is provided, and what items do you recommend I bring?

We provide washing up liquid, sponge and a j-cloth as well as two tea towels. You will also find a roll of kitchen towel and antibacterial hand soap in your lodge, along with enough toilet paper and bath towels for your stay.

As always, you will need to bring your own food and drink, personal toiletries and beach towels.  For now, we will not be providing the welcome pack of tea, coffee and milk, but we will continue to provide our popular Beach Hut biscuits!  We have also removed the following non-essential items from the lodges so you may want to consider bringing your own:

Hairdryer

Salt & Pepper

Spare blanket

Games and deck of cards

Beach toys

Iron

Supermarkets and other shops and services are open in Boscombe, Southbourne and Bournemouth, but there may be a queue to enter.

Please note Bournemouth Beach Lodges are not responsible if attractions are closed at the time of your stay.  This includes any of the Seafront facilities including all catering establishments and the Land Train.

 

How can I get in touch with a member of the Beach Lodges team during my stay?

During office hours, you can reach us by calling the office on 01202 451502.  We ask that you do not visit the Beach Lodges Office; we will come to you!

Out of hours, a member of the Beach Lodges team can be contacted using the emergency number provided in your arrival documents.

 

Can I have my lodge cleaned during my stay?

We do not offer a cleaning service but can provide fresh linen and towels if you are staying more than 4 nights. Please contact a member of the team during your stay to arrange this.

 

What else do I need to know?

You must let us know if you or any of your party develop symptoms during your stay or within 14 days of your departure.  We may be required to share the contact information you have provided for your booking with NHS Test and Trace.

We are unable to accept grocery deliveries on your behalf.  If you do wish to have a food delivery we recommend booking it for 9am-10am on the day after you arrive so the driver can use the vehicle access and you are able to take receipt of it.  This includes Welcome Platters provided by our partner Molecular Magic.

Hand sanitiser will be available for you to use at site entrances, we recommend you bring your own for use in the lodge and while out and about.

Should a member of the Beach Lodges team or maintenance staff need to access your lodge during your stay, we kindly ask that it is vacant.

Communal facilities including our hotplate BBQs, guest laundry, book and toy library will not be available.

We have heat-sealed the remote control in your lodge in plastic to reduce contamination risk.  Please do not remove it from the sealed bag, it will still work!
