The Lodges are situated 1/2 mile east of Boscombe Pier at Manor Steps, heading towards Southbourne. A short 10-minute walk from Boscombe Pier or a 5 minute downhill walk from Boscombe Overcliff Drive where parking is available.
Beach Lodges Address: Seafront Promenade, Bournemouth BH5 1BN
Due to the nature of our location, we do not have parking directly outside the Lodges themselves so we provide two free parking options; Boscombe Overcliff Drive and Boscombe Seafront Drive.
Boscombe Overcliff Drive
Address: Boscombe Overcliff Drive, BH5 1JB
Upon arrival at Boscombe Overcliff Drive you will find a string of on-road parking spaces that are free to the public. Aim to park closest to Boscombe Pier, opposite adjacent roads such as Grovely or Chessel Avenue to be near the top of the Manor Steps Zig Zag.
Once parked you can then walk along the cliff top where you’ll see a sign to the Lodges and the zig zag that leads you to the Lodges at the bottom.
The nearest train stations to the Lodges are Pokesdown (for Boscombe) and Bournemouth.
Two train companies serve Bournemouth; Great Western Railway (South Western Trains) and Cross Country. The railway line runs directly from London Waterloo and Weymouth, as well as from Manchester and Birmingham. Please note that Cross Country does not stop at Pokesdown for Boscombe.
Bournemouth has two bus companies; morebus and Yellow Buses.
Unfortunately, no buses run directly to Boscombe Pier so the closest stop is by Boscombe Chine Gardens on Christchurch Road. It is a delightful downhill walk from the bus stop through the gardens to Boscombe Pier from where you can take the complimentary Land Train to the Beach Lodges at Manor Steps. The Land Train operates subject to weather conditions and season.
