Following the latest Government Covid 19 announcements the incredibly popular Bournemouth Beach Lodges will re-open after Lockdown 2.0 on Friday 4th December. Demand is already high that weekend but there is capacity in the rest of December, Christmas, New Year and into early 2021.

The Lodges team safely and successfully re-opened part of the beachside site from early August till the second round of restrictions in November and welcomed around 500 guests and over 60 dogs in that time. Positive feedback on all aspects of the experience from check-in to cleanliness, location to staff interactions has led to the decision to open all 24 Lodges from early December.

Where better to stay at the end of this strange and chaotic year than in a warm, cosy, bijou little house right on the beach, waking up to the sound of the waves? Details of the fantastic festive season offers are below.

Laura Gadd, Beach Lodges Manager says, “During this lockdown period, the team and I have been working around the clock to ensure our Beach Lodges are safe and ready for the reopening on the 4th December, from cleaning to maintenance and adding some festive finishing touches. We are very much looking forward to welcoming all our guests back with socially – distanced, open arms! Perfect for a little getaway by the sea.”

Launched in 2017, the Lodges are open-plan with a mezzanine level sleeping area, a bespoke central staircase that doubles up as shelving, modular furniture and clever, simple storage solutions plus a spacious private wooden terrace.  Every Lodge is heated, has WIFI, a shower room and toilet, a television, a well – equipped kitchen, top quality bed linen, a private terrace and are suitable for everyone – couples, families or small groups of friends. Dogs are more than welcome too!

A stay at the Lodges can be as active or chilled as guests wish, whatever time of the year. The seemingly endless expanse of sandy beach right in front of the Lodges is perfect for long, invigorating winter walks. Bikes can be easily hired and are a very convenient way of exploring the whole area, including Bournemouth and its neighbouring towns of Poole and Christchurch which sits on the edge of nearby Hengistbury Head, an extraordinary conservation area of natural beauty.  Slightly further afield but well worth visiting are the New Forest and the Purbecks. Many of the region’s top quality bars , restaurants and cafes will also be open for business while water sports of all kinds are in abundance along the whole seafront and at locations dotted around  the expansive, mesmerizing Poole Harbour and the smaller, but charming Christchurch Quay. Culture and social history are available at Bournemouth’s cliff top Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum, Poole Museum and, nestled in the heart of historic Christchurch, The Red House Museum.
