Terms and Conditions for the use of Bournemouth Beach Lodges

Definitions

  • In this agreement, the following definitions shall apply:
  • Beach Lodges Management means any member of staff…
  • Beach Lodges Manager means Laura Odlin
  • Child means any person under the age of 18
  • Council means Bournemouth Borough Council
  • We means Bournemouth Beach Lodges Management
  • You means the Lead Guest (and any other guests of the Beach Lodges)

1. Booking

1.1 All bookings are made subject to these terms and conditions. The lead guest confirms that he/she, along with any other guests within their booking are fully aware of the terms and conditions.

1.2 Payment: Full payment is required at time of booking.

1.3 The price of your stay includes the use of the lodge for the maximum number of guests indicated (Standard Lodge: Max 4 adults; 2 children; Accessible Lodge: Max 4 adults; 1 child); along with any other amenities or services described as included in the price of your stay.

1.4 If you intend to organise a function at a lodge e.g. party, birthday celebration etc., you must seek prior written permission from the Beach Lodges Manager. Please note that the maximum people at the beach hut including those staying there is ten (10)

1.5 You will be provided with a Beach Lodge User Guide at your lodge at the start of your stay that contains important information about your stay with us. Please ensure that you and your guests make yourselves familiar with this information.

1.6 You must only use the lodge for holiday accommodation purposes. You must not use the accommodation for any other purpose, including for any business purposes.

1.7 You must not use the lodge, or allow it to be used, for any dangerous, offensive, noisy, illegal or immoral activities. You must not cause nuisance or annoyance to any neighbours or anyone else during your stay. You must not keep or allow to be kept in the lodge any dangerous items (including knives or weapons of any kind) or any illegal substances.

1.8 Smoking is not permitted inside the lodges, this includes E-Cigarettes. Smoke detectors are situated on both levels of the lodge. You will find ash trays on the outside terrace where smoking is permitted.

1.9 You and your guests must not use candles, fireworks, or Chinese lanterns at the lodges.

1.10 Charcoal or gas barbecues are only permitted to be used after 6pm and only on the tarmac terrace in front of the lodges. No open fires on the decking of the lodges or in the surrounding area are permitted.

2. Cancellation

2.1 Once a booking has been made then no refunds will be given, unless the lodge can be re-let. In such circumstances the Council reserves the right to charge an admin fee.

2.2 On the rare occasion that we need to cancel your booking, we will endeavour to notify you immediately. You will receive a full refund for the booking. We will not accept liability for any additional costs incurred by you in relation to the booking or its cancellation.

3. Responsibilities of the Guest

3.1 The maximum number of guests permitted to use the lodges are: Standard Lodge: Max 4 Adults; 2 Children; Accessible Lodge: Max 4 Adults; 1 child. This maximum number includes any infants, and must not be exceeded. If the maximum number is exceeded, then the Bournemouth Beach Lodges management reserve the right to terminate your rental without prior notice and without refund or compensation.

3.2 At time of check in, you must provide us with the number of guests staying in the lodge. No additional guests are permitted to stay. If additional guests do stay then the Bournemouth Beach Lodges management reserve the right to terminate your rental without prior notice and without refund or compensation.

3.3 No stag or hen groups are permitted to use the lodges. If, on arrival, the Beach Lodge Management feels this to be the case, they reserve the right to cancel your booking and no refund will be due.

3.4 Children must be accompanied at all times.

4. Access, Arrival and Departure

4.1 Access: Vehicle access to Bournemouth Beach Lodges is only permitted at the following times:
– All year round 9am – 10am
and
– 1 April to 30 June 5pm – 5.30pm
– 1 July to 31 August 5.30pm – 6.00pm
– 1 September to 31 October 5pm – 5.30pm
– 1 November to 31 March 3.30pm – 4pm

Gate times are subject to change without notice, please check with our Seafront Rangers for exact times as these may vary.

4.2 Arrival: Guests can check in between 3pm and 6.30pm. If your arrival is delayed, you must contact the Beach Lodges Management as soon as possible. If you do arrive outside these hours without prior arrangement, you may not be able to access the lodge until the following day.

4.3 An inventory will be provided in your lodge on arrival. If you discover that anything is damaged or missing on arrival at your lodge then please notify us immediately.

4.4 If you are unhappy with the level of hygiene of your lodge on your arrival then please notify us immediately.

4.5 Departure: Guests are required to vacate by 10am on the day of departure. On departure you are required to ensure that the keys are returned to a member of the Beach Lodges Management, or left in the key safe provided. Non-returned keys will encounter a charge.

4.6 If you do not check out by 10am on the day of departure we reserve the right to charge you a late check out fee.

4.7 Please ensure all rubbish is removed from the lodge and placed in the external waste bins provided.

4.8 Our staff or contractors may need to access your lodge if there is an unforeseen problem, to investigate a complaint you have made, or to perform certain routine checks. If this happens, we will do our best to let you know in advance of the date and time that we will need access. Your occupation is not exclusive.

4.9 Your stay will not give rise to any tenancy agreement between us.

5. Linen and towels

5.1 Linen and towels (excluding beach towels) are included in the rental of the lodges. If your stay exceeds 7 nights, at your request your linen will be changed on a Monday or Friday.

5.2 Beach towels are not included, and the linen and towels provided should not be taken out of the Lodge.

5.3 We recommend that you bring your own cot linen for your baby’s comfort with you. Travel cots can be provided if requested at time of booking.

5.4 No towels or laundry should be placed over the balconies/decking of the lodges. They should be dried in the laundry room.

6. Security and Valuables

6.1 Any valuables left at the lodges are left at your own risk. It is essential (and your responsibility) to ensure all doors and windows are closed when leaving the lodge. Whenever unattended and at night the lodge must be kept locked. You are responsible for ensuring that the lodge is left secure on departure.

6.2 Lost property will be retained for 28 days from day of departure. Items can be returned to guests for the cost of postage incurred.

7. Pets

7.1 Only 1 dog will be permitted per stay in allocated dog-friendly huts. Dogs are not permitted on the beach directly outside of the lodges from 1 May to 30 September; the nearest dog-friendly beaches will be clearly signed on site.

7.2 We must be advised at the time of booking of any dogs intending to stay and a surcharge will be applied to the booking fee.

7.3 Dogs must not be left unattended at any time and owners are reminded to be respectful in relation to dog fouling. General waste bins are available throughout the site for disposal of dog waste.

7.4 Please refrain from allowing dogs on beds or furniture.

7.5 Any damage caused by dogs must be paid for.

7.6 Dogs are to be kept on leads in the vicinity of the lodges, and on the promenade at all times.

7.7 If a guest arrives with more than the permitted number of dogs, Beach Lodges Management reserve the right to cancel your booking, and no refund will be due.

7.8 No other pets are permitted to stay in the lodges.

8. Parking

8.1 Parking – One car parking permit per lodge will be provided free of charge. We will not accept any liability for damage or theft from your vehicle during your stay.

9.Damage Charges

9.1 On arrival a credit card pre-authorisation may be taken and any damages or charges from your stay with us will be charged against this card or the card used at the time of booking.

10. Termination

10.1 We may ask you and/or any member for your party to leave immediately if your conduct results in Police attendance or is considered by us to be inappropriate, likely to cause harm or impair the enjoyment, comfort or safety of anyone, or is likely to, in our belief, cause a breach of this agreement. No refunds or compensation will be given in these circumstances and we reserve the right not to accept further bookings from you or any member of your party.

11. Privacy statement

We have structured our web site so that, in general, you can visit the Bournemouth Beach Lodges web site without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. Once you choose to provide us with any information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and organisational controls to safeguard the information we collect online.

12. Guest Feedback

12.1 In the unlikely event that you have an issue during your stay, we advise you to bring it to the attention of the Beach Lodge Manager at the time. This enables us the opportunity to rectify the problem during your stay.

12.2 Any reported matter which has not been resolved during your break should be advised in writing to Beach Lodges Manager, Bournemouth Seafront Office, Undercliff Drive, Bournemouth, BH2 5AA within 28 days of the day of departure. We will only correspond with the Lead Guest.

12.3 We will not enter into further correspondence on any matter resolved during your break and accepted as such by you.

13. Governing Law

13.1 This agreement and any dispute between us will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales over any matter arising out of our agreement or your visit.
